Life goes up in smoke every second.
That thing accelerates the process.
Cigarettes are handy time machines.

Wake me up.

------

25 oct 2005 :

Okay. some people asked how I did this one...
I always answer "I played with curves a little bit"... and, unfortunately, I can't say anything else.

I'd really like to make a tuto ; explain how I did this one with all details and subtilities you need to reproduce it... but I just can't :(
When I say I *played* with color curves (using The Gimp, but you can do the same with 'toshop, of course), that's exactly what I did !
I was using this curve box for the first time - it happened to be when I was working one this photograph - and, suddenly, I saw somethin' I found interesting... This pic !
The point is : I'm not really versed into technique... I use to play a lot, with different tools and... sometimes I obtain what I want.
I can't even remember if I played with the original pic or the 'negatived' one, sorry.

What I can do is to put the original pic into my scraps gallery, and then you could also try to... play with curves :)
I'd be interested, however, if someone could explain me exactly how to reproduce it, with all these nifty scientific words ^^

Here's the original pic in small resolution (watch out, its quite ugly) : [link]

Pas mal ! Prise de conscience ? ;)
